Nottingham contemporary, Hollow Earth: Art, Caves & The Subterranean Imaginary.
Founded in 1994, The Center for Land Use Interpretation (CLUI) is a Los Angeles-based research and education organisation that explores land use and manmade landscapes. They believe these sites "can be read to better understand who we are, and what we are doing". Hollowed Earth comprises more than 40 photographs of underground business parks. CLUI writes: "There is a vast network of underground office, storage, and logistics facilities in the former limestone mines of the USA. These drive-in artificial caves can extend for miles, and house a subterranean analog of the world above."
